Symphonic Orchestra
For pupils playing in orchestra is earnest of future professional activity. It's confrontation about work in orchestra. Often this confrontation falls out advantageously and fructifies to take farthest education and play in professional bands. Members of orchestra are meeting once a week for four hours practice. This short time is often expand about additional meetings. It requires unusual discipline of work. Orchestra has got many artistic obligations.
Orchestra of The Ryszard Bukowski Secondary State School of Music acts at school from the school starts existence. In 2007 year Chamber Orchestra of The Ryszard Bukowski Secondary State School of Music in Wroclaw (string instruments) was transformed to Symphonic Orchestra.
From September 2005 artistic chief and conductor of orchestra is Artur Wróbel. From this time orchestra was presented in Wroclaw Philharmonic (concerts from cycle "Family Philharmonic"), Music Hall of Wroclaw University (Oratorium Marianum), National Museum in Wroclaw, Big Studio of Polish Radio. Band was presented in many churches of Wroclaw and other cities of Lower Silesia Region. Orchestra plays music from different historic epochs. Orchestra played works of A. Vivaldi, J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, C.M. von Weber, E. Grieg, L. von Beethoven, S. Moniuszko, P.I. Tchaikovsky, J. Strauss, P. Mascagni, G. Fauhré, J. Williams, A. Piazzola, R. Bukowski etc.
Orchestra presents vocal - instrumental music too. For example Stabat Mater - J. Haydn (IV 2006), Requiem - G. Fauhré (IV 2007), Latin Missa - S. Moniuszko (X 2007), Angelus - W. Kilar (XI 2008), Requiem - W.A. Mozart (IV 2009).
Group participated in music festivals for example "May with Old Music" (2006), "Festival of Wroclaw Land" (2007, 2008). Last year orchestra went for Ukrainian tournee to Odessa (VI 2008). It was Polish - Ukraine exchange of young people.
